Polymer clay canes are designs which are repeated throughout the entire cane…think those cookies in the freezer at the grocery that you just slice and bake…and each slice is the same. This purse used multiple cane designs which were assembled into a “fabric” which was added as the final layer of the purse. The interior is textured as are the4 sides of the purse; this handbag is hinged and has rare earth magnet closures. This purse has two leather straps easily changed because of the Chicago screws, so from handbag to shoulder bag is an easy conversion.
The technique for making my purses was refined during a class with Kathleen Dustin at Creative Journey Studios. What I learned from this remarkable artist continues to impact my purses.
This purse measures approximately 7.25” across, 4”high and 2.75” deep. This purse will not accommodate larger phones.
