Mosaics have such an allure. For purses I use my own “tug and cut” technique. Each feather for this bossy little cardinal, is hand shaped and textured. Using a pinecone as the button closure, along with buna cord, keeps this purse secure. The interior is textured for additional interest.
The technique for making my purses was refined during a class with Kathleen Dustin at Creative Journey Studios. What I learned from this remarkable artist continues to impact my purses. This purse measure approximately 7.25” across, 4.5” high and 3” deep; this purse will accommodate most large purse styles.
